Item Description
9x12" wrapped canvas has great full color scene in acrylics w/The Phantom grabbing the hand of a turban-wearing man who has drawn a pistol on him. Signed "Fredericks" at lower left. Bright, clean, and Exc. Fredericks has drawn the "Mandrake The Magician" comic strip for over 40 years and provided art for "The Phantom" Sunday comic strip for five years. He also drew various comic books including "Boris Karloff" and "Twilight Zone" and has inked various titles for DC and Marvel Comics. Great Phantom painting. See Sunday strip original art lot #1562.
