Item Description
Lot of three 1940s pin-up calendars. First measures 16x32.5" and features nice pin-up portrait by Billy DeVorss. Attached complete 1942 calendar pad. Metal strips at top/bottom as issued. Rolled. Scattered wear w/2" tear w/archival tape repair on reverse and moderate moisture staining along right margin, though as on dark paper, this does not show much. Still displays Fine/VF. 15x29.75" calendar sample w/Jan. 1946 calendar sample page attached (w/7/8" tear at top center) features great "Mary-Go-Round" carousel pin-up by Jules Erbit. Scattered lt. margin wear. Fine/VF. 11x23" calendar sample w/Jan. 1949 calendar sample page attached features "Going My Way!" pin-up by Del Masters featuring woman in emergency raft signaling a passing airplane. Scattered handling wear at bottom and 2" area of faint staining at upper left, but main art image remains bright and clean. Fine overall. From the Don Maris Collection.
