Item Description
First is enamel paint on brass figural American flag pin 1" wide. Front cover is on a spring hinge and when this is pulled back revealed is a yellow paper label reading "To Hell With Spain! Remember The Maine." Traces of light age but vast majority of paint remains on the front and interior is quite clean. Second is a 'first we've seen' and continues the flag theme. The item is a die-cut embossed high relief silvered brass depiction of Uncle Sam. Reverse has 1.5" vertical stickpin. A panel of text on the lower edge reads "Rally Round The Flag." Above his shoulder at left is a small circular piece of metal to which is attached a .5" tall coiled spring with the end of it having an inserted litho tin hand holding a die-cut litho tin flag, all as a single piece. At the slightest movement the spring wiggles around producing a waving flag. Only about 50% silver luster remains on Uncle Sam but no other damage. Rare.
