Item Description
First is .5" tall silvered brass pin showing the Statue Of Liberty with text "Communist Party/1938/Builders Of Democracy." Next is 5/8" button with American and Soviet flags which have initials above standing for National Council Of American-Soviet Friendship plus slogan below "Friendship For Peace." This group was formed in 1941 and grew out of an earlier group founded in 1929 known as the Friends Of The Soviet Union. The members were largely professionals who favored socialism and communism. Button has tiny surface wear and couple pinpoints on the rim that are very minor. First we've seen. Last is 13/16" "No Foreign War!" Has W&H paper. This and first are Mint. Also see rare 1930s button urging Boycott Of Nazi Goods #504.
