Item Description
Large 23x25" black wood frame w/plexiglass cover issued for sales of the DVD set released in Nov., 2003. The "Concert for George" was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Nov. 29, 2002 as a memorial to George Harrison on the first anniversary of his death. The event was organized by Harrison's widow, Olivia, and son, Dhani, and arranged under the musical direction of Eric Clapton and Jeff Lynne. Performers included Anoushka Shankar, the Monty Python troupe, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Billy Preston, Albert Lee, Dhani and many others. At the top of the display is a tri-fold DVD cover shown open and w/overlapping DVDs at center. Cover has two great images of George, one from the Beatles years and the other from his solo career. Below this are seven discs, three w/matching Middle Eastern stylings to the DVDs, which is also repeated on the bkg. itself. Below these are three separate plaques for "Best Long Form Music Video, Presented To" and "RIAA" hologram. This was presented to record executive Kevin Kennedy. A truly stunning display piece for a major Beatles-related event. Mint.
