The cartoon's original working title was "Donald's Date," but this was changed to "Mr. Duck Steps Out" for its release. Pencil notation at top reads "Not Used In Copyright Story On Donald's Date" and pencil text at bottom margin reads "Not Used For Copyright Story In MM Magazine," referring to text adaptation of cartoon that was published in "Mickey Mouse Magazine" as "Donald's Date." Sheet has some aging to margins w/scattered wear along left margin. Bottom right has .5x1" area of ink staining and smaller .5" area.
