Item numbers 989 through 2633 in auction 212
Item Description
This extremely rare premium ring from the candy maker features a plastic stone on the top that both glows in the dark and is removable so that the hollowed-out underside serves as a secret compartment. The ring is quite similar to the 1946 Sky King Radar ring, but this ring has numerous good luck symbols on each side of the ring base including horseshoe, four-leaf clover, rabbit foot, and several stars. When the cover is slid off, on the top of the ring base is the profile of an elephant's head with its trunk raised upward. Plastic top has 1/8" very trivial melt mark, probably as made, and this is on a side edge and from nearly all angles the ring is NM. We've had this only once or twice over five decades and in Hake's Pop Culture Memorabilia guide the NM value is $1000.00.
