Item Description
Pair of 9 oz. size cereal boxes, each w/different 2x4-7/8" embossed tin litho "Socko Signs" that are designed like miniature license plates w/humorous sayings. 1950s. One sign was issued per box, and these cereal boxes show a rather unusual method of distribution as signs are attached to front exterior of boxes. Boxes have been roughly opened and majority of box flaps have been removed. VG overall. The attached signs read "Peanuts Buttered" and "Baby Sitters Beware!" Scattered lt. wear w/some scattered adhesive as applied. Fine/VF. Comes w/complete set of 12 signs (including the two already offered). All have some adhesive/surface remnants from boxes on backs. Scattered lt. wear. VF/Exc. overall.
