Item Description
16x19.5" thick artboard has original mixed media art for cover of the April 1, 1951 issue of "The American Weekly" Sunday newspaper supplement published by the Hearst Corporation. Emerson, a TV interviewer known as "The First Lady of Television," is depicted holding a lace fan as a small cherub places a bejeweled crown upon her head. Several TV studio lights are depicted in bkg. Art has lt. aging as revealed by lighter margins strips from previous mat. Could be matted and framed for an Exc. display.
