Item Description
23x29" printer's proof featuring album cover art for The Grateful Dead's 1972 live triple-album "Europe '72" designed by Alton Kelly and Stanley Mouse under their Kelly/Mouse Studios name and set against mostly white. The front cover shows a large Truckin' boot crossing the Atlantic, while the back cover depicts The Ice Cream Kid smashing an ice cream cone against his forehead, some of the ice cream flying through the air spelling "Live." Both image areas have been hand-signed "Kelley" in black felt tip marker. Uncut printer's proof has some lt. wear along edges w/.75" tear w/some creasing at one corner, but main image areas remains clean and bright and could be matted and framed for a NM display.
