Auction #213 - Part II
Item numbers 1063 through 2753 in auction 213
Item Description
8" tall w/7.5" dia. tin litho base. 1930s. Base has detailed wraparound circus scene w/bareback rider, hippo-drawn animal cage, marching children, clown riding pig, native in cage, performing bears, elephants and clowns w/"Ring-A-Ling Circus" banner. Variety w/rose-colored platform. Great action and works. Ring Master raising his arm to make four attachments on base move as he revolves - lion w/ring rears up, clown is designed to do somersaults, elephant raises up and monkey moves on pole. Actions work well for three of four attachments; Ring Master does not tap clown as he revolves. Minimal wear to base. Rest of toy has a few minor scratches, more evident on Ring Master including where arms rub along his side. For the most part, beautiful condition on this classic Marx toy. VF.
