Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains 13.25" long tin litho horse-drawn wagon w/built-in key. Marx, 1929. Box shows obvious wear and has had internal reinforcement added. Just Good but still a very rare box and the first we've seen. Toy is tin litho, wagon is marked "Merchants Transfer" and bears Marx logo. Die-cut tin litho driver figure holds string reins connected to pair of tin litho horses that are attached to central post. Removable tin litho gate can be positioned in three different areas, sectioning off the back of the wagon. Wind-up action works. Small scattered traces of wear in the form of tiny paint nicks/scratches (mostly to edges of wheels and along top edge of wagon walls), but VF overall.
