Item Description
4.25x10x6.25" tall tin litho wind-up comes w/6.25" long tin litho elephant whose feet are connected via metal rails. Elephant is designed to be hooked to corresponding rails at bottom front of wagon, wind-up mechanism pushing rails back and forth when wound, causing elephant to walk. Wind-up motor works well. Toy also comes w/five separate slightly three-dimensional tin litho pieces, four circus animals and a clown. These include - monkey, lion, camel, giraffe and aforementioned clown. Each is on metal free-wheeling wheels and has metal piece at front to connect to other animals to form train. These animals can also be put within wagon's cages. Back of wagon lifts off and opens to reveal three cage compartments, w/bars in front and opening tin litho backs to place animals within. Neat design created by Lindstrom, 1920s. Toy is missing driver figure and marquee that had "Barnum Bailey - The Greatest Show On Earth" text. Wagon back has some scattered small nicks/scuffs and partial grease pencil price on top. Elephant also has some minor scattered wear/aging. Smaller animals' wheels have aged. Fine-VF overall.
