Item Description
16.75x21.5" 8-page "American Magazine Section Of The New York Sunday American" newspaper from July 26, 1914. Front page features "Weird Visions Of Poe" w/great Edgar Allan Poe illustrations by Henry Malcolm Thurburn, a total of four, including - "The Fall Of The House Of Usher, Eleonora, Ligeia" and "Morella." Each has brief snippet of Poe's text from each story. Main text on page deals w/Thurburn's work on a new edition of Poe's "Tales Of Mystery And Imagination." Rest of section deals w/unusual stories and some sensationalism. Horizontal fold at center as issued, w/moderate aging along this crease, which has some small tears along w/1.75" tear at left. Margins show some small minor chips along edges and pages are a bit brittle from age. VG/Fine overall.
