Item Description
18x22" professionally double-matted and framed display contains 12x12" album cover that has been double-matted to 10.5x10.5. "For LP Fans Only" is the seventh album by Elvis Presley, issued by RCA Victor (LPM-1990) in Feb. 1959. It is a selection of material from an Aug. 1956 recording session at 20th Century Fox Stage One, a Sept. 1956 session at Radio Recorders in Hollywood, sessions on Jan. 10-11, 1957 at RCA Studios in Nashville, two more at RCA Studios in New York, and multiple sessions at Sun Studio. The album reached number 19 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart. Album cover features large portrait image of smiling Elvis, who has signed "My Best Wishes - Elvis Presley" in blue ink to right of his face, in open area just below album's song titles. Album cover had obvious wear, mostly to edges w/some minor color rubs on face, but main image area remains bright and clean and album cover has been professionally framed and matted by the consignor to preserve and protect from additional wear and also to enhance the visual presentation of the piece. Album cover has been framed under UV glass and mat features complimentary matching color to RCA Victor logo box at upper right of front cover. Authentic Elvis Presley signed LPs are rare and desirable, especially one that is not personalized such as this example and a vintage 1950s release. This is the only signed copy of this album we know of. Comes with Hake's COA and Roger Epperson/REAL LOA.
