Original illustrated cardboard box contains 9.25x14.25x5-1/8" tall hard plastic piano toy w/built-in "Howdy Doody Xylo-Doodle" function. Harmony Toy Group, c. 1950s. Piano keys function by pushing button on either side of piano to produce different notes in conjunction w/Xylo-Doodle. Piano top has large portrait image of Howdy Doody w/images of Dilly Dally, Mister Bluster, Clarabell and Flub-A-Dub. Surface has lt. aging but still bright and clean. Produces musical notes one at a time as well as producing notes in sequence. Exc. Box shows wear w/two 1.25" tears at edge of lid end flap and color rubs to lid. Fine. Missing original instruction sheet, but o/w complete and working. As a bonus, comes w/great color ad for this toy from Playthings 1952 toy trade publication. Great design.
