Lot of three boxed sets, from a series of painting sets by Hadley Co. of Elizabeth, NJ. © Bob Smith. 1950s. Each figurine painting kit contains figurine(s), paints, brushes and instructions. Largest boxed set of the series comes in 11.75x19x2" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid and contains figures of Howdy Doody, Dilly Dally, Princess (w/glue repair to ankle crack) and Flub-A-Dub. Howdy and Princess have spots of paint on face and Flub-A-Dub has scattered paint traces. Dilly Dally has even moderate aging. Rest of set appears only lightly used. Complete w/instructions and color guide. Box and insert shows traces of wear/aging. Fine overall. 6.75x9x2" deep box w/die-cut display lid contains unused kit w/Dilly Dally and Flub-A-Dub. Box shows obvious aging and is Fine while contents are unused and VF/Exc. Smallest box measures 5.5x6.75x2" deep and features die-cut display lid. Complete w/instructions and color guide as well as original packing material marked "Howdy Doody" still in place around unused figure. Box has one corner split and shows obvious aging. VG/Fine. Contents are Exc.
