Pair of 11x14" original release lobby card sets (16 total), each an imitation of the successful Tarzan series. Based on the 20-book series, "Bomba The Jungle Boy," Monogram Pictures brought the character to the motion-picture screen in 1949, w/Bomba played by Johnny Sheffield, who portrayed Boy in the Johnny Weismuller Tarzan films. Included here are complete lobby card sets for 1953's "Safari Drums" and 1954's "The Golden Idol." Bomba is pictured on all but one card. Cards have varying degrees of margin wear that includes pinholes/staple holes at corners/along margins and corner tip wear. One card has tape repair to small tear along bottom margin. Two "Safari Drums" cards have more moderate margin wear, w/one having .5" tear along bottom and .75" and 1" tears at upper right. Another "Safari Drums" card has small tears at staple holes at corners of image area. Both are VG. Rest are VG/Fine to VF overall.
