Item Description
Lot of three albums each 12.5” square with single 33 1/3 record. First is from June 23, 1963 and includes the earliest version of King’s historic “I Have A Dream” speech. Produced by (Barry) Gordy A Division of Motown Records. 11 Tracks. Second from about 2 months later was recorded live at “Freedom March On Washington August 28, 1963." This includes the most famous “Dream” speech version which King delivered in response to Mahalia Jackson’s call to him “Tell Them About The Dream, Martin!” Third was issued just after MLK’s 1968 death and is titled “In Struggle For Freedom And Human Dignity.” Cover sticker reads “Royalties Payable To The Southern Christian Leadership Conference.” All three albums show wear mostly in the form of color rubs, dust soil and slight tanning. Only the last has a short split at bottom left corner. Covers are less than Fine, but Very Good. The records show very minor traces of use and are overall Very Fine. The Detroit recording is the scarcest of the three.
