Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 8.5 tall "Smoking Papa Bear" who wears fabric outfit w/tin litho shoes. His hands are also tin litho and head is plush-covered. Bear holds a tin litho pipe in his hand and metal remote control is attached w/original wires. Made in Japan by Marusan, 1950s. Box is complete w/original cardboard inserts. Lid shows obvious aging/staining but box remains tight and VG/Fine overall. Functions work, toy walks, arms moves up and down, pipe lights and smoke exits hole at mouth. Toy has some lt. aging to white portion of face and soft rubber nose has aged, w/some small cracks. VF. 10" tall "Coffee Time Bear" stands on tin litho base w/simulated tree trunk table before him. Made in Japan, 1960s. Plush-covered bear wearing fabric trousers w/suspenders and flocked cardboard hat/bowtie pours coffee from coffee pot into plastic cup. Stump table has tin litho loaf/slice of bread set on vinyl leaf. Functions include raising cup, pouring coffee as red bottom lights and bear lifts cup to mouth. All functions but coffee pot light work. VF overall.
