Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 11.5" tall monkey w/plush head who wears fabric clothing and has tin litho hands/shoes and stands on tin litho base w/amp while playing tin litho guitar w/two strings. Vinyl hat which is often missing is present. Made in Japan by Alps, 1960s. Box has 1" tear to main lid panel and creasing at corners. Lid has 2.25" edge split w/glue repair. Box remains free of splits. VG overall. Toy functions include rocking back and forth, strums guitar strings w/built-in plastic piece in hand, hand moves, microphone lights and foot taps along w/music. All functions work. Trace wear to guitar and base edges and small bit of fraying on coat lapel, o/w VF/Exc.
