The album was released Jan. 18, 1978 and brought Zevon commercial attention and remains the best-selling album of his career. Front of cover has been signed in black felt tip pen by Zevon (1947-2003), who has inscribed it "To An Excitable Boy - Best Wishes, Warren Zevon" and added "1/12/95" date. Cover has some handling wear w/edge creases, but these are only noticeable in reflected light and cover still displays Exc. Comes w/record and lyrics inner sleeve.
