1-3/8" long "RB Hayes" autograph appears on matted and framed 6.75x7.5" printed and inked document dated February 15, 1881, about two weeks before leaving office. Text reads "I Hereby Authorize And Direct The Secretary Of State To Cause The Seal Of The United States To Be Affixed To Warrants For The Pardon Of Robert King, Ashley Brown, George King, John C. Black And Samuel W. Smith Dated This Day And Signed By Me; And For So Doing This Shall Be His Warrant." Two horizontal fold lines. 11x13" frame overall. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
