Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains two-piece tin litho tanker w/total length of 12.5" long. A "Walt Reach Toy" by Courtland Manufacturing Co. of Camden, NJ. Early 1950s as noted by "NJ51" license plate. Comes w/small Courtland guarantee paper. Box shows heavy and obvious wear w/thin cardboard reinforcements added at one end to end flap hinge and tab hinge. Other end has majority of end flap loose (but included), rest of end flap attached to box w/thin cardboard reinforcement. One inner flap is loose (but included) while other inner flap is mostly loose but still attached. Just Good, but main panels of box remain nice for display. Truck's cab roof is hard plastic, rest is tin litho. Rubber wheels on steel hubs. Friction works well. Tanker trailer features plastic nozzle-tipped cord hose which can be extended from within and then withdrawn via hand crank on side of tanker. Small rub on one fender w/small area of lt. scratches to front corners of tanker trailer. Bright and glossy, VF overall. Ex-Kaufman Collection.
