From a 1948 series of ten different watches and those characters are featured on illustrated cardboard box lid in birthday scene. Watch has 1.25x1.5" metal case, straps are vinyl-covered leather. Two different Pluto birthday watches were produced, this is variety w/"Luminous" dial which still glows brightly. Dial has Pluto portrait and his ears are animated, pointing at the numerals. This deluxe set comes w/4" long plastic pen w/gold tone metal cap that features wrap-around Mickey Mouse decal. Exc. Watch straps have original foil price tag, noting original purchase price of "$7.95 Plus Tax." Watch is running and Exc. The same box was used for all ten watches w/just an ink stamp name on one side panel to designate that specific character. This box has partial "Pluto" name as stamped. Trace of edge wear w/some color rubs but box remains tight and Fine. Complete w/aged US Time guarantee paper. Watch/pen are old store stock. Scarce, especially in this condition.
