9.25x16.5x2.25" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains English set, c. 1942 by the British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd. Lid features images of Mickey Mouse, Toby Tortoise, Max Hare, Fiddler Pig, Donald Duck, Pluto, Goofy and others as well as the light set itself appears on lid and side panels. Same lid art also appears on the large flip-up insert. Box lid shows scattered edge/corner tip wear and is evenly aged. Lid has one corner split and 2" tear to front side panel. VG overall. Insert has some creases at upper left and is VF. This is larger set, complete w/16 plastic shades w/glass bulbs and original wiring complete w/European-type plugs, decals on shades feature ten different scenes, featuring Silly Symphony characters like Merbabies, Pegleg Pete, Three Little Pigs, Big Bad Wolf, Elmer Elephant, Clara Cluck, Ferdinand the Bull, Pluto, Donald Duck's Nephews, Minnie Mouse, Clarabell Cow, Little Hiawatha, Tortoise and the Hare among others.
