Item Description
13" long tin litho wind-up w/built-in key. Marx, 1929. Sides of truck are covered w/"Lincoln Transfer And Storage Co." text including "Movers, Packers & Shippers Of Pianos & Household Goods" along w/"Gramercy 2773" telephone number and "Padded Van" designation. Mack truck cab w/separate die-cut tin litho driver. Cab features detailed lithography that includes image of fire extinguisher. All original w/tin litho wheels. Back of truck features two doors that open, each w/Marx logo. Scattered wear/aging w/some paint scratches/scuffs and two small areas of oxidation to roof as well as to wheel hub caps. Insides of wheels and around wind-up mechanism also shows oxidation, but these are not visible unless truck is turned over. Wind-up works. Fine overall. Very rare private label Marx wind-up for New York area moving company.
