Item Description
First version, two-piece painted pressed steel tractor trailer w/rubber tires has total length of 22". Tonka, 1953. Trailer has wooden floor and opening rear doors, though trailer is missing landing gear. Trailer sides have decals w/great image of Green Giant mascot holding large pea pod and ear of corn. Sides also have large "Green Giant Brands" name w/"Green Giant Peas, Niblets Corn, Niblets Mexicorn" and "Green Giant Cream Style Corn" text on thin decal below. Truck cab has "Green Giant Co." decals on doors. These decals shows scattered wear w/nearly 5" scratch on right side of trailer. Paint is missing in 1.5" area on underside/interior of cab, but this is not visible when displayed. Paint has some scattered aging and wear in the form of small nicks/scratches. Moderate paint wear to cab hitch. VG/Fine overall.
