Item Description
4.5x10.25x.75" deep glazed china tray (non-handled version). Left side features image of Minnie Mouse w/umbrella, opposite side depicts Mickey Mouse. Small "Walt Disney" name under each. Underside has incised "147 Frie Onnaing Made In France" text along w/Walt Disney copyright stamp. c. 1936. This along w/wash bowl and pitcher #1983 are some of the largest and most impressive pieces produced by this French company also known for their Disney-related tea sets, dishes and figural banks. See items #1971, #1983-1984, #1986-1988. Noticeable wear to bright silver accent highlights along edges. Scattered lt. wear w/small craze line by Mickey, but this is not distracting and only really noticeable upon close inspection. Images themselves have some tiny dots of missing color but remain distinct. Tray has a bright and glossy appearance overall. Fine/VF. Rare. From the Maurice Sendak Collection and comes with COA.
