Item Description
First is 5.25x7.25" "The Adventures Of Superman" from 1942 w/imprint for Py-Co-Pay Tooth Powder/Tooth Brush. Story dealt w/Superman visiting young boy who wants to be a pilot and showing him air battle against Japanese. Pages have moderately but evenly aged and have become brittle at edges w/a few small tears and archival tape repairs to a few inside cover tips. VG overall. Second is larger 7.25x10.25" "Superman's Christmas Adventure" that was issued in 1944 and has Snellenburgs Market Philadelphia, PA. front/back cover imprints. Story dealt w/Superman helping Santa Claus to save Christmas. Back cover has typed recipient address and shows moderate wear w/moisture staining at lower left; 7/8x2" corner piece off. .75" tear at top left through entire issue. Entire issue also has vertical mailing crease at center. Good. Both featured unique content to these promotional/premium issues. Both are scarce.
