Item numbers 1063 through 2753 in auction 213
Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains 11" long tin litho bi-plane w/plastic revolving propeller and 14.75" wide wingspan. Made in Japan by S&E (Suzuki & Edwards), late 1950s/early 1960s. Box has inspection sticker on bottom and has assembly instructions on side. Scattered handling wear w/some creases, but VF overall. Assembled toy is faithful depiction of famous "barn-storming" airplane of the 1920s and features tin litho pilot's head in cockpit and French flag on tail fins w/"N-X-386" number (also on bottom set of wings). Friction works and propeller revolves intermittently as plane advances. Exc. Scarce toy w/even scarcer box.
