Lot of three large framed panoramic photos taken during the 50th Anniversary commemorations of the Battle of Gettysburg, July 1-7, 1913. Frames measure between 10.5x50" and 11.5x80.5". Smallest framed photo shows tent encampment and has printed text reading "50th Anniversary - Battle Of Gettysburg Camp - July 1st To July 7th, 1913 - Copyrighted 1913 By W.H. Tipton - Gettysburg, PA." In addition to tents, photo clearly shows three early delivery trucks and an early automobile at lower left. Photo has 1.75" streak of slight fade at left margin and scattered aging to rest of photo. .5x2" streak at lower right corner missing emulsion. Displays Fine as framed. Next largest framed photo shows different view of encampment w/large produce gardens in foreground and central image of steam locomotive w/several passenger cars passing through encampment. Addtional train cars can be seen further up the tracks. Observation tower can be seen in distant bkg. Photo has "-Gettysburg Camp- 50th Anniversary - July - 1913-" text just right of center and lower left has "Copyright Frank Edwards - Huntingdon, PA." text. Photo has sliver of emulsion loss at lower left, but not distracting as framed. Photo has four vertical streaks of aging/fading w/some scattered dust soiling at upper right. VG/Fine. Largest framed photo shows yet another view of the encampment, similar to middle photo, w/view of produce gardens and several people can be seen on the grounds, including some in horse-drawn wagon. Lower left has "50th Anniversary - Battle Of Gettysburg, Camp - July 1st To July 7th, 1913 - ©1913 By W.H. Tipton, Gettysburg, PA." Given large size of photo, the original glass for this framed piece was pieced together from three separate cut pieces of glass as originally framed. Middle piece of glass has thin sliver off at upper left and photo has some scattered dust soiling/aging. Upper right corner has 1.25" piece of backing paper overlapping photo as framed. Still displays Fine/VF. Frames have some scattered general edge wear. Stunning collection capturing the days spent memorializing one of the most important battles of the American Civil War.
