Typically these embossed frames are 7/8x1" but this example is 1x1.25" and displays much larger than the more typical size. Mounted to the tin back is a long vertical 1.25" pin. The tin type is exceptionally clear and has a beautiful glossy finish. Barely seen without magnification is a tiny 1/16" "Y" emulsion crack on his hair with a pair of equally tiny and near invisible 1/16" hairlines in the emulsion along the extreme right edge.
