Item Description
14x23x1" deep metal frame bagatelle game w/full color tin litho playing surface by Durable Toy & Novelty Corp. ©1935 King Features Syndicate, Inc. Lower right has channel for loading marbles, fired by spring release lever. Playing surface has metal traps for capturing marbles, each trap assigned a point value. Highest point values are for traps picturing eggs, apples, potato, carrots, bread, cereal, milk, all topped by 500-point value for spinach. No marbles are included but any generic proper size will serve. Toy is playable although none of original 11 short wire upright bumper pegs remain. "Free Ball" channel has small piece of tape covering "Ball" text. Top frame bar intact. Backside has original cardboard backing and wire stanchion attached for raising playing surface. Scattered wear from use w/some oxidation around peg holes but still highly desirable display image and clever concept of "Menu" design including spinach. VG/Fine overall.
