Superb 11-7/8" tall solid resin scratch-built figure by modeler extraordinaire Terry Reynolds of California. His work is featured on pages 25-26 of "Superhero Collectibles: A Pictorial Price Guide" by Bill Bruegman. Created in the 1990s. Depicted is Helen Slater in the titular role from the 1984 "Supergirl" movie. She stands on a clear circular plastic base. Part of a series of custom superhero figures created by Reynolds. Wonderfully painted and detailed, this figure comes from an era before the collectibles figures and statues of today were commonplace. Blue on uniform is lightly aged and tiny paint flake off forward boot, but o/w figure remains Exc. for display. Little official merchandise was produced for this superhero film and this is a wonderful custom piece for those that have always longed for a figural representation of Slater as Supergirl.
