Auction #213 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1062 in auction 213
Item Description
1.25" with outstanding brilliant multicolor which includes a small illustration bottom center of Teddy Roosevelt in Rough Rider uniform holding a saber aloft as he charges on his white horse. The button is largely Mint as made and this is one of the few examples of this design which is perfectly centered. This fact alone makes it a rarity. In addition this example is complete with its Baltimore Badge back paper which is the original, although the back collet has the "Phelps 1899" patent date. The celluloid has a mirror-like gloss and beautiful intense color. The Hake 2004 revised prices value is $1,200.00.
