Item Description
First is 2-1/8" button. Some tan tone on about 50% on the W&H back paper. Gold background has a little color loss between their images and over McKinley's shoulder at left. Couple of long but light scratches in reflected light. Button still displays very nice with high gloss. Second with slightly different coloration on their portraits is a 1.75" version. No back paper. Couple light hairline scratches in reflected light. Bottom edge has a tiny hole as made and probably held a ring with a suspended tin clicker. Our third version is a 2-side celluloid with a hole as made at top as it was suspended from another piece. Both sides of the celluloid are essentially Mint with the reverse having a beautiful multicolor emblem that includes eagle, sailor and Indian with surrounding text "The Wholesale Dry Goods Republican Club/New York, Nov. 3, 1900." Julie Powell Collection.
