Item Description
The two studs are .75" and the button is 1.5". All pieces are in brass. First item shows TR holding sword and riding galloping horse with surrounding text "The Rough Riders Brigade 1900." The second item was made from an Indian Head penny. Front of the piece has high relief portrait of TR (where the Indian once was) with surrounding text "United States Of America 1904." Mounted to the penny's reverse is a brass lapel stud with the flat surface having image of a knapsack in which is depicted a pot on a spit over a fire. Both of these have Exc. luster. The button shows full figure of TR beneath a palm tree aiming his rifle towards a lion at the right. Small 1/16x1/8" spot of luster off upper rim edge but otherwise Exc. and complete with shank on the reverse. Julie Powell Collection.
