11.5" tall lamp (to top of socket). Popeye figure is 8.25" tall painted white metal figure and lamppost. Molded metal base is 4.5" dia. Figure has scattered small to tiny paint nicks, most prevalent on back, w/about 30% missing. Front retains 95%, better than most examples found. Idealite Inc. ©1935 King Features Syndicate Inc. Underside of base has felt covering. Lamp has original electrical cord and plug and switch works, but cord is a bit frayed and should be rewired. Fine overall. Comes w/6" tall by 8" dia. cardboard shade w/inner wire bulb clip. Shade features images of Wimpy fleeing w/stolen duck being chased by Popeye who is in turn chased by Olive Oyl. Moderate all-over even aging. Scattered creasing and 2" hairline split on Wimpy, but these issues do no greatly affect images. Shade remains structurally sound. VG overall. Much rarer than the lamp itself.
