Item Description
Sizes are 5/8" to 7/8". The "Law And Order" button has W&H paper plus a tiny 1/16" cello nick off the back edge with the front still displaying Mint. Coolidge gained national attention by his handling of the Boston police strike of 1919. After that was settled a recording was produced by Columbia Records, apparently in 1919, of his speech under the "Law And Order" title. This button may be an advertising button for this recorded speech which was issued on the record label "Nation's Forum." It sold for $2.00. The other five buttons are from 1924 and include the classic black and white jugate by W&H along with another W&H button with coattails picturing "Coolidge/Fuller/Gillett." The other four pieces are single picture portrait buttons with the last two in the group being litho tin and all others being celluloid. With the one condition exception noted all are NM displaying Mint.
