Item Description
Pair of awards issued to "The $64,000 Question," an American TV game show broadcast from 1955–1958, which became embroiled in the scandals involving TV quiz shows of the day. First is 11.75x13.75" framed award w/felt backing and reads "In The Annual Awards Poll Conducted By TV Radio Mirror - American Audiences Have Chosen The $64,000 Question As Their Favorite Quiz Program" and has TV Radio Mirror seal and facsimile signatures. 1955-1956. Exc. Second is 6x7.5" wooden plaque w/attached engraved brass plate on front that reads "Tempo Magazine - 3rd Annual TV Award - The $64,000 Question - Best Quiz Show 1956." Plaque has some scattered wear/scratches and is Fine. Brass plate is VF/Exc. Unique pair for one of the all-time great games shows, from the Estate/archives of Steve Carlin.
