Item Description
Pair of 9x11.5" binders contains scripts for total of eight TV shows (Episodes 14-30, 36-37) from 1951. Some scripts are marked "Master" and feature numerous pencil notations throughout that include changes to text, additions, etc. Binders are both mislabeled as being for "Series 1 - Program 1-17" and "Series 1 - Program 18-37" and show moderate handling wear w/edge chips and 3" and 5" splits to cloth bindings. VG. Script pages show varying degrees of handling wear, w/some having small edge tears/chips. VG-VF overall. Scripts come w/matched die-cut stiff paper mask pair for Rootie Kazootie and Polka Dottie, each about 10x12". © Rootie Kazootie Inc., 1950s. Masks feature actual photo images of the puppet characters' heads. Reverse of Rootie is signed in black ink by show's creator, writer and producer Steve Carlin, who adds 1999 date. Polka is unsigned. Masks are designed w/diamond-shaped die-cut openings for eyes above the character's actual eyes, Polka has one of these unpunched. One of Polka's bows has a very lt. 3" crease only noticeable when viewed closely. Exc. while Rootie is NM. Masks are scarce. From the Estate/Archives of Steve Carlin.
