Item Description
First is 7/8" with darkly tanned W&H back paper. Front shows pleading woman with American and Jewish flags behind her on a gold background. Rim text is "American Jewish War Relief/In Their name I Plead." Touches of stain on the outer blue rim edge but blending fairly well. We've seen only a couple in 5 decades. Next is an even rarer button showing a kneeling female figure against an American flag design administering to a throng of refugee's. The female figure does appear to represent the Statue of Liberty although the details of her crown are tiny and indistinct. Rest of the detailing is quite clear with surrounding text "Central Jewish Relief Committee 63 Park Row, New York." NM displaying Mint and rare.
