Item Description
15/16" unmarked but probably by Parisian, Chicago as reverse has their distinctive collet.  Reverse back paper reads "National Council For A Permanent FEPC/930 F. St. N.W. Washington, D.C."  Front of the button reads "Fair Employment Practices Commission/FEPC On All Jobs."  This group was implemented by Executive order #8802 which required companies with government contracts not to discriminate on the basis of race or religion.  Its intent was to help African-American's and other minorities to obtain jobs in home front industries at the beginning of WWII.
