Item Description
This unusually small 1.25" pocket mirror is from the early 1900s and carries name of maker Bastian. Reverse collet has minor oxidation with a couple tiny 1/16" celluloid splits and tiny .25" line where the celluloid buckled very slightly instead of folding perfectly smooth beneath the collet. This makes a very slight bulge on the right side but the front still displays essentially Mint as made. Slogan is "Like Lovely Psyche, Good And Pure" with additional text reflected upside down in the water "Mirror Candies." She stands on tiptoes on small rock in gauzy white gown with flowing veil and as she is always depicted she has a pair of tiny butterfly wings on her back. About our third seen in five decades.
