Item Description
First from the early 1900s is 1-7/8" diameter highly domed glass over choice color scene against deep metallic blue of a horseshoe, jockey's hat and whips plus floral accents. Wide brass rim on the front is a continuation of a brass plate over the entire reverse with two small cut-outs holding a heavy brass bar pin. Other than natural toning of the brass this piece is Mint as made. Second is again highly domed and 2" in diameter with heavy vertical pin on reverse plus name of maker "Cal. Stamp Co." Front of this piece reads "Agua Caliente/49/Jockey Club." This was a prominent 1930s track in Tijuana, Mexico which held winter and summer race meetings. This seems to be an employee identification badge. Couple of brighter dots among the otherwise muted brass finish. Exc.
