Item Description
First is 1-1/8" aluminum picturing Washington on the front while reverse instructs "Visit The World's Fair New York 1939" with name of famous coin dealer "Stacks" below with address and text "Dealers In Coins." Couple of small rubs on the obverse. Second is very heavy 3.5" medal finished in black. Front reads "Iceland-America" and shows sailing ship of "Leifr Eiriksson." Reverse text names him as discoverer of Vinland in 1000 A.D. and also names the 1939 Fair. Exc. Next are a 2-7/8" pair of white metal medals each inscribed "Lucky Penny" on the front and picturing Indian in headdress. One is thinner and one is thicker. Thinner one shows Trylon & Perisphere on reverse while the thicker one has 1940 small logo of the Fair at center surrounded by larger good luck symbols. This one is NM while the previous one has some brassy luster missing from the reverse.
