Item Description
Sizes are 7/8" up to 2.5". First is the largest, probably created as a sample as it has a serial number "F 000." Rest of text is "H.L. Green Co/Welcomes You To New York." Only example we've seen. Next is 1.75" from scarce state series and with text "Hi-Neighbor/Vermont." Tiny stain traces on extreme right edge. Next at bottom left reads "Have You Seen?/Why Do/At The World's Fair 1940." We do not know the meaning behind this button but it is a rarity. Next reads "Lum Fong" with 1939 date. Another scarce button. Last was issued for the single day May 13, 1940 by "International Business Machines." This and another one or two with different dates are the earliest buttons we know of to name the now famous IBM Corporation. All are Exc. to NM and display Mint with small exception noted.
