Item Description
Sizes are 7/8" to 1-11/16". Group begins with one which has 1900-1912 W&H paper with front text reading "Exemplar/With Malice Towards None/With Charity For All/G.J.Johnson Cigar Co., Grand Rapids, Mich." A rare advertising button probably issued around the time of his 1909 centennial. Second c.1896-98 with tanned W&H paper has front reading "Lincoln Brand Self-Rising Buckwheat." Light bit of tone on left. Next c.1909 has photo of Lincoln without beard and was probably given to a contributor to the "Statue Fund." c.1909. Next is a beautiful colorful porcelain on brass badge with art nouveau frame edges encasing the scene titled "Lincoln Home." Again probably issued c.1909. Bright luster off the brass but clean and no damage to the porcelain. Next is c.1950s 1.25" button showing "First Berry-Lincoln Store And U.S. Post Office/Lincoln's New Salem, Illinois." Nice color. Last is enamel on brass watch fob with front reading "Lincoln Accident Insurance Co." Very light surface wear on the front but no significant damage to the enamel. Upper loop carries name of maker Greenduck. Reverse has a little green color and missing luster on tiny area at very bottom below the text reading "I Am Insured In The Lincoln Accident Insurance Co. Of Lincoln, Neb. 'Prompt, Conservative, Safe'". Numerous rarities.
