Item Description
Lot of three over-sized 10.75x14" bw silver gelatin photo prints of photos originally taken in 1952/1954 but printed later. The photographer was John Florea (1916-2000), a TV director and a photographer who worked for "Life" magazine, photographing actresses, such as Jane Russell, but World War II led to his doing notable work photographing soldiers in the war. Offered here are three photos Florea took of Marilyn Monroe, showing the blonde bombshell lounging on a couch, showing off a large ring on her hand; posed w/her finger in a beckoning motion; and leaning out the back window of a car in a low-cut top, her hair down. Back of each photo has "Copyright/Johnny Florea" inkstamp w/original photo date inked in. Florea has also signed each photo, in blue ink on two and pencil on the other. Prints have some handling wear w/creasing at corners and are Fine/VF overall. Would frame for great display pieces.
